Meet Dr. Erik Bonn
Dr. Erik Bonn is a sports physical therapist in Cherry Hill, NJ who has spent more than a decade inside professional sports and Division I athletics. That background shapes how he treats every athlete who walks in.
He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Master’s in Athletic Training (MS). Both sides matter. The DPT covers the rehab. The ATC covers the field, the sideline, and the season an athlete is trying to get back to.
At Rehabletics, Dr. Erik Bonn combines evidence-based rehab, sports science, and strength & conditioning into one plan. Whether an athlete is coming back from surgery, fine-tuning mechanics, or building durability for a long season, the program is built around their sport and their goals.
His work centers on biomechanics, movement efficiency, and injury risk diagnostics. This is why athletes who have already tried general physical therapy come to him for a second opinion.
Every session with Dr. Erik Bonn runs 60 minutes, one-on-one. You are never handed off to a tech.

Who Dr. Erik Bonn Works With
Dr. Erik Bonn works with athletes across multiple sports, using personalized rehabilitation and performance-focused treatment strategies.
Field & Court Athletes
Soccer, lacrosse, and basketball athletes load through cutting, decelerating, and landing. The plan is built around those demands.
Post-Operative Patients
ACL, rotator cuff, and Achilles repairs progress on criteria, not guesswork. Each phase is earned before the next one starts.
Runners & Endurance Athletes
Running injuries get treated with gait mechanics and load management. Rest alone does not fix a running problem.
College & High School Athletes
Rehab is built around a real season, a real schedule, and a coach’s expectations.
Professional Sports Athletes
Return-to-competition standards and in-season maintenance for athletes whose job depends on the outcome.
Active Adults
You do not need a jersey to be treated here. Same assessment, same 60 minutes.
A Performance-Focused Approach to Physical Therapy
Dr. Erik Bonn follows the same four steps with every athlete.
Understand the athlete
Start with the injury, the sport, the training demands, and the goal. The season calendar is part of the conversation.
Assess the full movement system
Test strength, mobility, biomechanics, and movement efficiency, not only the painful joint. Most injuries trace back somewhere else.
Build a personalized plan
Combine hands-on care, progressive loading, and sports science into one program. The plan matches the sport, not a generic protocol.
Test readiness to return
Measure readiness before clearing an athlete. Objective testing decides the return date, not time elapsed and not pain alone.
"You don't go back to sport because six weeks passed. You go back because your numbers say you're ready."
How Dr. Erik Bonn Helps Athletes Recover
Dr. Erik Bonn treats with the full Rehabletics system: hands-on care first, recovery technology behind it. These are the eight tools he uses most with athletes.
Manual therapy
Manual therapy is hands-on joint mobilization. Dr. Erik Bonn uses it to restore motion and cut pain, so loading starts sooner.
Dry Needling
Dry needling releases guarded, restricted muscle with a thin needle. It frees the tight hamstring or hip blocking an athlete’s sprint.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)
Blood flow restriction builds strength at light loads. Post-op athletes gain real strength weeks before heavy lifting is safe.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy sends acoustic pulses into stubborn tendon tissue. It targets chronic Achilles tendinopathy and plantar fasciitis that stretching never fixed.
ACL Rehab
ACL rehab here is sport-specific and criteria-based. The goal is returning at or above the athlete’s previous performance level, not just healing.
Scraping (IASTM)
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization works through scar tissue and thickened fascia. Post-surgical athletes get tissue gliding again around a healed incision.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology taping supports a joint without locking it down. Athletes get through practice and competition while the underlying issue is rebuilt.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy stimulates cellular repair and lowers inflammation. It shortens turnaround between heavy training days in a compressed season.
Your First Session With Dr. Erik Bonn

I sprained my ankle badly before field hockey season. Rehabletics set up Return to Sport Physical Therapy plan that fit around practice schedule and even used force plates to clearly see my strength side to side when others just guessing. They are the best!Posted on Google![]()

We’ve had a great experience with Rehabletics and Erik Bonn and Jamie Mor. Erik has been extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and thoughtful throughout Ryan’s rehab. He takes the time to understand what is going on, pays attention to the details, and adjusts the plan based on how Ryan is progressing rather than just following a standard protocol. Just as importantly, Erik has been great about communicating with us and explaining the reasoning behind what they are working on. Ryan has had a long and complicated recovery, and we’ve really appreciated having someone who is patient, invested, and focused on getting him back to performing at a high level safely. I would highly recommend Jamie, Erik and Rehabletics, especially for athletes working their way back from an injury or surgery.Posted on Google![]()

Came in to Rehableticas after suffering a back injury while squatting in the gym. Dr. Erik got me all fixed up in a few session. He diagnosed my problem quickly and gave me homework exercises to work on. I was back to squatting pain free a few weeks later. Definitely would recommend Rehabletics for any sport related injury.Posted on Google![]()

After a running injury kept me off the trail for months, the team at Rehabletics Sports Physical Therapy gave me a clear rehab plan and used manual therapy and a force plate analysis. My therapist Jake focused on strength and gait work, and I felt stronger after each session, which is something I hadn’t experienced at other clinics. The progress was fast enough that I was back on the trail within six weeks and my race times have actually improved. Even though I have to drive a bit, the results make it worth the travel and I’ll definitely come back for my next performance assessment.Posted on Google![]()

After my knee sprain I was unsure if I could run again, but the team at Rehabletics Sports Physical Therapy gave me a clear rehab plan and I’m back to my jogs pain free. The one on one care from my therapist, along with the force plate assessments, felt more precise than any other clinic I’ve visited. The short drive was worth it because I’m returning to sport faster than I expected.Posted on Google![]()

After a running injury in left hip, the team at Rehabletics Sports Physical Therapy gave me focused ACL physical therapy and manual therapy as part of their sports physical therapy program. I felt steady progress each visit and was able to run again without pain. I liked how the therapist explained each exercise and tracked my recovery.
